Daywise Itinerary

  • Activities:
    • Arrive at Paro International Airport. Receive a traditional welcome with a khadar (white scarf).
    • Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours). Check into your hotel.
    • Visit the National Memorial Chorten and join locals in circumambulating the stupa.
  • Accommodation: Overnight in Thimphu.
  • Activities:
    • Visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue, a 169-foot bronze statue offering blessings and panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
    • Explore Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.
    • Stroll through the Centenary Farmers’ Market and Folk Heritage Museum.

    • Half Marathon Route (21.0975 km):
      • Start Point: Lobesa.
      • Route: Run through scenic landscapes, passing by traditional villages and terraced fields.
      • Finish Point: Khuruthang Town.
      • Elevation: The route is relatively flat, making it suitable for casual runners.
    • Celebrate your achievement with fellow runners and locals.
  • Accommodation: Overnight in Punakha.
  • Activities:
    • Drive to Paro (approx. 4 hours). Stop at scenic spots for photos.
    • Relax at your hotel or explore Paro town for last-minute shopping or relaxation.
