Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, where you can walk across a traditional iron-chain bridge over the Paro River. After checking into your hotel, visit the Buddha Dordenma, a towering golden statue overlooking Thimphu Valley. Explore the Tashichho Dzong, a fortress-monastery that houses the King’s office. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along Norzin Lam, the city’s main street.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, crossing the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m), where you can admire 108 memorial chortens and spectacular Himalayan views. Upon arrival, visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress, situated at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu Rivers.
In the afternoon, enjoy white-water rafting on the Mo Chhu River, navigating thrilling Class II-III rapids while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. End the day with a walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan.

After breakfast, drive to Wangdue Phodrang, a region known for its pristine rivers and valleys. Visit Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, perched on a ridge overlooking the confluence of the Puna Tsang Chhu River.
In the afternoon, embark on a kayaking adventure on the Dang Chhu River, navigating calm and moderate rapids, ideal for both beginners and experienced kayakers. The crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings make this an unforgettable experience.

Depart for Phobjikha Valley, a stunning glacial valley known for its untouched nature and the roosting ground of the black-necked cranes. Visit Gangtey Monastery, a 17th-century hilltop monastery offering panoramic views of the valley. Enjoy a relaxing nature walk along the Gangtey Trail, passing through pine forests and small streams.
Spend the evening at a riverside retreat, where you can unwind with a traditional hot stone bath and enjoy a bonfire under the stars.

Begin your journey to Bumthang, Bhutan’s spiritual heartland, passing through the high-altitude Pele La Pass (3,390m) and the historic Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan. As you drive along the Chamkhar Chhu River, admire the pristine riverbanks and cascading waterfalls.
Upon arrival in Bumthang, visit Kurjey Lhakhang, a sacred monastery where Guru Rinpoche meditated, and explore the quaint town of Jakar.

Start your day with a gentle river walk along the Chamkhar Chhu River, soaking in the serene landscapes. Visit the Red Panda Brewery, Bhutan’s first craft brewery, where you can sample locally brewed wheat beer. Explore Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, before spending a relaxing evening at your hotel.

Option 1: Take a domestic flight from Bumthang to Paro (35 minutes) for a quicker journey.
Option 2: Drive back overland, breaking the journey with stops in Trongsa and Punakha.
Upon arrival in Paro, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, and explore Paro town for souvenirs and handicrafts.

Start early for a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Palphug Monastery), perched dramatically on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor. The 4–5 hour round-trip hike offers spectacular views and an insight into Bhutan’s deep spiritual heritage.
After descending, enjoy a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath to relax your muscles.
