Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Begin your journey with a visit to Rinpung Dzong, a majestic fortress overlooking the Paro River, followed by a tour of Ta Dzong, the National Museum, which offers a deep insight into Bhutan’s history and culture. In the afternoon, explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Stroll through Paro town, where you can visit local handicraft shops and enjoy a traditional Bhutanese meal.

Begin the day with a challenging but rewarding hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang, 3,120m), Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, perched dramatically on a cliffside. The trek offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley, with a stop at a teahouse along the way. Learn about the legend of Guru Rinpoche, who meditated here in the 8th century. After descending, relax with an optional traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.

Depart for Haa Valley, one of Bhutan’s most pristine and least-visited regions, crossing over Chele La Pass (3,988m), the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Stop at the pass to admire spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari (7,326m) and the Paro Valley below. Upon arrival in Haa, visit Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple), which hold deep spiritual significance. Enjoy a leisurely walk through Haa town and along the Haa Chhu River, surrounded by beautiful pine forests.

Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, following the scenic route along the Wang Chhu River. Stop for lunch in Chuzom, where the Paro and Thimphu rivers meet. Upon arrival in Thimphu, visit Buddha Dordenma, a towering 51-meter golden statue offering panoramic views of the valley. Explore Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot). In the evening, stroll through Thimphu’s Craft Bazaar, where you can buy local handicrafts and textiles.

Start the day with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, where locals gather for daily Buddhist prayers. Continue to Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal, the takin, a rare and unique species. Explore the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts School), where students learn Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts. In the afternoon, take a nature walk in Jigme Dorji National Park, Bhutan’s second-largest protected area, known for its lush forests and diverse wildlife.

Depart for Punakha, stopping at Dochula Pass (3,100m) to enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan peaks and the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Take a leisurely walk across Punakha’s suspension bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, offering stunning valley views.

Return to Paro, stopping en route at Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), dedicated to the eccentric Buddhist saint, Drukpa Kunley, the "Divine Madman". Continue to Tamchog Lhakhang, a temple built by the great iron bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo. Upon arrival in Paro, enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the town or visiting a local farmhouse for a traditional Bhutanese meal.
